As a financial service provider, we have a responsibility to review transactions. Our payment partners have the same legal requirement, which means that we need to ask for additional documents before we can release a transfer.
If either Dandelion or one of our payment partners needs additional information, we will email our partner directly to request it. This is known as a Request for Information (RFI).
What information will you ask for?
The information we ask for may include, but is not limited to:
- The recipient's date and place of birth
- A copy of the recipients ID. This must be valid, government-issued photo ID.
- Contact details for the recipient, including their phone number and email address
- The source of the funds
- The sender's occupation
- The sender's full address
- The relationship between sender and recipient
When we request information or additional documents, we can't release a transfer until we have received and reviewed it. It is therefore important that information and documents are provided within the timeframe specified in the request.
If we don't receive this information within the specified timeframe, we may cancel the transfer.
